ONLINE SHOPPING 

We have taken care in presenting the products on our website as accurately as possible. The images you see will depend on your monitor's display and colour capabilities. We are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise. 

 

CONTACT DETAILS 

Our primary method of communication with you is by email. Therefore please ensure the email address you provide us with is correct. All order and despatch confirmations will be sent to the email address you provide. In the unlikely event of a problem with your order, we will contact you by telephone. Again, please ensure the contact telephone numbers you provide are accurate.

 

ORDERS 

Once you have completed the checkout process we will send you an order confirmation email detailing the products you have ordered. This is not an order acceptance. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order.

Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:

  • The product you ordered being unavailable from stock

  • Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment

  • The identification of a pricing or product description error

  • Your not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions

  • Your order not passing our verification checks.

When your order is placed, the funds for your order will be ‘pending’ ready for us to ‘collect’ when we despatch your order.

Pending funds means the amount of authorised money is set aside, away from your available balance and the amount is not debited completely until the day of despatch. Goods will not be despatched until payment collection has been successful.


 

We cannot accept orders from persons under the age of 18. Orders placed using a debit/credit card must be based within the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, we do not accept non-UK credit or debit cards.

 

EXPECTED ARRIVAL OF DELIVERIES

All orders received online at BENJAMIN RAIN LTD are processed and, depending on stock availability, are despatched as promptly as possible and normally delivered in 2-4 working weeks. Please see the delivery information on the Shipping and Returns Policy pages for more specific information.

 

DELIVERY ADDRESS

All deliveries will be made to you at the addresses specified by you in the order. We may, at our discretion and expense, deliver parts of your order separately. If we cannot deliver the products to you at the address you have specified for any reason (other than when we are at fault), we will notify you and store the products. If you wish us to redeliver the products to you, you will need to authorise us to charge your credit card/debit card for such re-delivery. If we do not hear from you within 28 days, we will cancel the order and refund your payment to you less any reasonable delivery charges we have incurred.

 

A signature may be required to receive the order and you will be responsible for the products as soon as they are delivered. Ownership of the products shall pass to you once we have received payment in full.

 

If you decide to have your order delivered to a different address than your own, a signature may still be required and the general conditions of delivery will remain unchanged. Please note, orders paid using Interest Free Credit must be delivered to the same address as the billing address used to pay the deposit.

 

LOST PACKAGES (this does not include bespoke/repairs/remodel)

Even though packages are sent via secure courier, on rare occasions we do experience losses whilst in transit. Please get in touch with our customer experience team if you think this may be the case with your order.

 

Please be aware that if we are not contacted within 30 days, an insurance claim cannot be made and thus the customer will be unable to claim any loss from BENJAMIN RAIN LTD.

 

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENT

We will contact your payment card company for authorisation when you place your order. Your payment card will then be debited when we pick your order for despatch. We accept the following cards for payment: American Express, Mastercard and Visa. The total amount you pay is unaffected, regardless of the payment method used.

 

We take every reasonable care to ensure that your order and subsequent transactions are conducted in a secure environment. If products are not available for any reason after we have accepted your order, we will let you know. We will not charge you for these products and will refund any amounts already paid (if any) by way of a credit to your credit card/debit card account.

 

Discount Terms & Conditions

The following terms apply to all promotions unless otherwise specified

  1. Offers apply to full price selected items only, while stocks last and are subject to availability.

  2. Benjamin Rain reserves the right to withdraw or amend this offer at any time.

  3. No cash alternative can be offered.

  4. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or promotion code.

  5. For discounts using a promotion code the discount will be automatically applied to all qualifying products on the basket page when the valid online discount code is entered upon checkout on valid products.

  6. For bespoke jewellery, wedding rings, engagement rings and repairs the discount will be applied when the valid in store discount code is presented to a member of staff on valid products.

  7. Benjamin Rain reserves the right to cancel orders or cashback originating from a website for which the discount code wasn't officially intended.

  8. Only one discount can be used per single transaction.

  9. Delivery is subject to stock/size availability and usually within 1-5 working days.

  10. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with a Gift Card or Reloadable Shopping Card that has been purchased via an affiliate or third party.

  11. Discounts cannot be applied to any design services, including, 3D prints, renders, 3D scans, designs and sketches.

  12. Discounts cannot be applied to any price to get a quote for any jewellery or repairs.



 

REPAIRS AND BESPOKE COMMISSION

Please note, any use of the Service or purchase made through the Service constitutes an agreement to abide by the terms and conditions detailed below which shall override any other terms and conditions. Any contracts or agreements formed between you and us by means of this Service shall be governed and construed according to English law and any disputes or proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Costs and timescales of design and/or repair work are estimates only. If upon inspection further work or parts are found to be required a re-estimate for the cost and the timescale will be provided.

To proceed with a bespoke commission including any wedding ring, engagement ring, fitted engagement ring and repair, payment of a minimum of 100% of the estimated price is required. This payment is non-refundable. Work may not start before this payment is taken. If the work is cancelled after the deposit is taken it will not be refunded as it is non refundable and bespoke work.

Products deposited with us for design or repair services will only be released for collection on production of the receipt we issued when you deposited the Product with us.

REMODELLING JEWELLERY COMMISSIONS

Risks During Re-modelling:

  • During the remodelling process, stones, including diamonds, are susceptible to breakage.

  • The customer assumes full responsibility for any breakage; re-modelling is carried out at their own risk.

  • Quotes for the replacement of broken stones are provided on a case-by-case basis.

Stone Assessment:

  • Un-set stones are thoroughly examined for existing damage and assessed for their suitability for re-mounting.

  • In cases of uncertainty about stone nature, expert stone merchants are consulted for identification.

Identity Confirmation:

  • Customers have the option to certify the identity of their stones through a gemmological laboratory.

  • Charges for identity confirmation services apply and can be provided upon request.

Bespoke Design and Trade-In:

  • Following the removal of stones, the bespoke design service can proceed.

  • Customers can choose to trade in old gold or platinum, offsetting it against the purchase price of the new item.

Risks of Remodelling from a Melt:

  • Gold not refined and re-alloyed to 9ct or 18ct may register a lower carat grade at the assay office due to impurities affecting overall carat.

  • 9ct, 14ct, and sometimes 18ct gold may necessitate refining and re-alloying due to changes in alloying metals over the years. Unknown alloys, particularly in 9ct rose gold, may be brittle, increasing the risk of cracking. Removal of silicone used in casting metals under 18ct may be required.

Surface Imperfections:

  • Some minor imperfections on the metal surface may be present in the final finish of the handmade jewellery, contributing to its unique character.
